Using green product is no longer an option but a necessity for each of us. We have heard all the havoc created in the world around, the greenhouse gases bringing disaster but a section is trying to dissuade people to believe that going green is complicated and expensive. Big corporations are trying to mislead by advocating something which is just the opposite of what is the truth. The truth is that going green is easier and also will save you lots of money. So, one can advocate using green products in any form that we may be using in our day to day life:

There are many frugal ways to buy and use green products. Some of them are elucidated below:

1. Safety Razors: Disposable razors in place of old fashioned safety razor is a great way to go green and save the environment. The multi-packed flat razor blades are not only inexpensive, they are available without all of the extra plastic packs that ultimately ends up in land fills.

2. Re-usable Coffee Filters - not only restricts repeat buying , it reduces expense and less waste generation. 3. Do not use paper towels and use rags instead.

4. One can use green cleaning products. More and more brands or healthy, green and effective cleaning products have come in the market . Many of these products are bio-degradable, .non -toxic and made from renewable resources . However, vinegar and baking soda mix can be used to clean almost anything.

Green products have penetrated into most American homes about 61%. When questioned why they choose eco-friendly goods - the reply was "makes me feel good about myself". Others those who are not using green products were asked about why they are not using the same. The reply from some was high price whereas others opted that they do not feel that they are that much better for the environment.

Why do we have to use green products? The answer to this question is very clear in everybody's mind. Climate change, acid rain, air and water pollution started this effort to reverse these conditions that is man made. The power to overturn the condition lies with us and we can do it if we want. A lot of business enterprises nowadays have created green products like renewable fuel, organic food, cleaning methods etc. all of these are designed in such a way that the consumers can afford them easily.

Going green does not necessarily mean that you spend extra, this will only save money for your future. If you take a look at your cleaning solution you will note a warning "Harmful if swallowed". Around 80% of the home poisoning is straight linked with the toxic chemicals. These are also harmful for environment. If sprayed in the house it also contaminates and pollutes the air in the house. These toxic chemicals and soaps kill the bacteria and they also get in the soil and later in our atmosphere, and pollute all of it. Therefore, you should buy cleaning agents that are non toxic and chemical free.

Incandescent light bulbs are inexpensive but the CFL will save the same amount of money and a lot more afterward. The CFL can be a little expensive but has a 5 times greater life than the normal bulbs and consumes less power. Swap your old shower heads with new high pressure and low volume sprays. They are inexpensive, easy to fit and save around 15 gallons of water for a 10 min shower! While brushing teeth shut the water tap. You can also start a compost heap if you have space and save landfill.

Going Green

If you want to help the environment and go green, here are some tips to get you started. Why go green at all? What exactly is green? How do you know which items to purchase? There are many people out there looking to cash in on the green fad. How to shop safely.

Do you want to go green? What exactly is going green? What exactly makes a product a green product? If you check the label or item description from the manufacturer - you should see no harmful chemical. All of the ingredients and materials should be easily found in the earth. They should be made using natural processes. Don't buy products that were made in a lab using all kinds of nasty substances. Going green means saying no to harmful toxins and unsafe chemicals in your home or workplace.

Green products must be made using methods that are environmentally friendly. There's more to going green than just leaving out toxic chemicals. We must use methods to produce our goods and services that are sustainable. Think about some of the factories you have seen. They produce a lot of items. They also produce a lot of waste material. It seems like madness when you really think about it. There is absolutely no reason to be spending more just to produce less. Don't let the big guys at the top play with your future, just so they can make a few quick dollars. Green products are products that are good for the earth, the economy and everyone on it. If this isn't true about a product that a manufacturer is offering - it's not green. Don't buy it!
